Paula Rawl Calhoon was inspired to enter public service by her grandchildren and a deep belief in the strength of her community. Committed to building a better future, she is dedicated to making Lexington County the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
A lifelong advocate for others, Paula has devoted much of her life to serving Lexington County through leadership on committees addressing elder abuse, special needs, juvenile justice, and victims’ rights. She holds a Master’s in Education from USC and is also a small business owner.
An active member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church and the Lexington Women’s Club, she leads volunteer efforts at Lexington Medical Center while balancing time with family. Whether she’s reading with her grandchildren, playing in her tennis league, or enjoying the lake, Paula’s commitment to service and family isn’t just a philosophy—it’s how she lives every day.
